THE COOLING STATION

The Cooling Station is a family operated gourmet popcorn and ice cream specialty shop located in downtown Highwood, Illinois.  In May 2004, we opened the Cooling Station offering the award winning Homer’s ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes and rootbeer float. 

We  later on expanded our services by providing parties and catering. Seeing the need for more children party venues and entertainment in the north shore suburb of Chicago, we offered a variety of ice cream sundae parties at our specialty shop. 

We personally handle the children party games. We lead and guide the birthday child and his guests with  fun party games as well as the make - your - own stuffed animal activity .  We also offer tennis parties, magicians, caricaturists and face painters to name a few. Each year, the Cooling Station has more parties as a result of satisfied party guests. Through word of mouth, we get party bookings throughout the year.

With our commitment in offering customers with quality products and services, the Cooling Station also produces  freshly made gourmet popcorn. It is made in small batches to create delicious  tasting popcorn flavors. Specialty stores carry our gourmet popcorn.

In just a few years, our specialty shop has become one of the favorite dessert destinations for families in the northshore suburb of Chicago. These towns  include Bannockburn, Deerfield, Highland Park, Highwood and Lake Forest.
